    Inga attended a fantastic event at @twycrosszoo 🦁🌿, bringing together inspiring voices from across the construction and conservation sectors. Sponsored by @oliveti.group, the event was organised by Leicestershire @women.in.construction co-founder Alexandra Kowalczuk, who shared powerful insights into the importance of women in construction. We also heard from Sarah Statham, Business and Community Engagement Manager at Oliveti Group. Following a delicious two-course lunch, we had the opportunity to hear from Megan at Twycross Zoo about the exciting new £25m Global Conservation Centre currently under development. Built in partnership with Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council and several of the UK’s leading universities, the centre will act as a hub for global conservation, cutting-edge scientific research, and education programmes - as well as a community space designed to inspire and train the next generation of conservation leaders under one roof. It was a brilliant event and a chance to reconnect with familiar faces, make new connections, and learn more about such an impactful project in the region. #womeninconstruction #networking #conservation #leicestershire #landscapearchitecture

    We’re proud to have sponsored @formcareersexpo 2026 held today at the former John Lewis building (Coles) in Sheffield. Jake and Issie attended the one-day careers expo in Sheffield for college students, university students and recent graduates who want to better understand how the places we live in are designed, built and managed. 🤝 They joined a brilliant mix of professionals working across architecture, construction, design, engineering, planning, management and trades and shared their own experiences getting into the industry. Jake was part of the ‘Pathways into Careers’ panel and Issie, the ‘Career Pivoting and Making Changes’ panel.     A brilliant night for landscape! 🌿 🎉 Shona Hatton attended the @lincschamber Construction and Property Awards last night as a guest of @wood_moore_and_co   Super proud to be the landscape partner of winning projects, including Boston College’s Mayflower building with @ymdboon R G Carter, and Sutton on Sea Colonnade with @gftomlinson @cpmgarchitects   @bsp.consulting Lancaster Bomber ‘Freedom’s Wing’s landmark took home an accolade. With the biggest ones cited as: 📊Financial sustainability 👷‍♀️Skills shortages 🏗️Timeframes from PCSAs to on site ⏰How the Building Safety Act (HRB) has influenced timeframes. Proposed reforms to the NPPF and the emerging local plan for Leicester were noted. Consideration of resourcing within planning departments, incentives for in-work training and the promotion of apprentice courses was discussed, as was the challenges of AI, its capabilities and dangers.
