Cookies are small text files placed on a device. This policy also covers similar technologies, including local browser storage. Some are necessary for a service to work; others require your permission.

Our approach

The website is designed to work without optional analytics. We do not load Google Analytics unless it has been configured for the site and you actively select “Allow analytics”. Choosing “Essential only” does not limit the main website content or contact form.

Essential preference storage

We use local browser storage named influence-cookie-consent to remember whether you selected “Essential only” or “Allow analytics”. This is used to respect your choice and prevent the banner appearing on every page. It remains on your device until you clear this site’s stored data.

Local storage is not sent automatically with every web request in the way a cookie is, but privacy rules can apply to both. We therefore explain it here for transparency.

Optional analytics

If Google Analytics 4 is configured and you consent, it may collect information such as pages visited, approximate location, browser and device information, session activity and a randomly generated client identifier. We use this to understand broad patterns of website use and improve the site; we do not send the content of your contact-form message to Google Analytics.

Google Analytics commonly uses _ga to distinguish visitors and _ga_<container-id> to preserve session state. Google’s default lifetime for these cookies is up to two years, although cookies may be removed sooner by your browser or if you clear site data.

Contact-form security

We may enable Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact form to distinguish genuine submissions from automated abuse. Where enabled, Cloudflare receives limited technical information needed to provide the security check. We use it for security, not advertising or visitor profiling.

Instagram, LinkedIn and external websites

Public Instagram content shown on our news page is retrieved by our server. The website does not need to load an Instagram tracking script to display that content. If you follow a link to Instagram, LinkedIn or another website, that service may set its own cookies and its privacy and cookie policies will apply.

Changing your choice

You can withdraw or reset your choice at any time by clearing the site data for influence.co.uk in your browser, then reloading the page. Until optional analytics is configured, no analytics cookies will be set even if you previously selected “Allow analytics”.

Most browsers also let you view, block and delete cookies through their privacy settings. Blocking all browser storage may affect preference features on this and other websites.
