Newark, Yorke Drive Regeneration Project: Creating Places People Are Proud to Call Home

Influence was appointed to deliver landscape design services for the Yorke Drive Regeneration Project in Newark, a major estate renewal scheme delivering 207 new mixed-tenure homes alongside enhanced community infrastructure.

Working as part of the wider design team, Influence developed detailed landscape proposals for public open space, play areas and residential streets, supporting the transformation of the existing estate and adjacent Lincoln Road Playing Fields. The scheme incorporates a network of multifunctional green spaces, including equipped play areas, sports pitches, a new pavilion, trim trails and improved pedestrian routes, creating a cohesive and accessible landscape framework.

The design promotes safe, active and attractive environments, with carefully considered planting, green streets and biodiversity-led habitats that enhance ecological value and seasonal interest. Thoughtful landscaping and active frontages also contribute to increased natural surveillance and a greater sense of community pride.

Shaped through extensive community engagement, the project delivers a landscape-led regeneration that improves quality of life while creating a sustainable, well-connected neighbourhood.
