The project
Arm Cambridge: Biophilic design for health and wellbeing transforms global headquarters
Influence was appointed in 2025 to deliver a biophilic landscape strategy for Arm’s global headquarters in Cambridge, supporting design development from RIBA Stages 2–4. The project integrates nature into the workplace, enhancing wellbeing, inclusivity and connection to the environment through an immersive “inside-out” approach to landscape design.
The strategy applies ecological principles, using layered planting systems and climate-responsive zones tailored to building conditions such as light, views and spatial constraints. A tiered approach combines large-scale features—including atrium and restaurant planting, terraces and suspended installations—with smaller interventions such as desk planting and natural material palettes.
The design supports diverse user needs, encouraging social interaction, focus and sensory comfort, while aligning with Arm’s workplace vision. A new external garden will also transform an existing car park into a restorative, nature-led space, creating a cohesive and health-focused environment that connects people, place and nature.
